"This was the first painting I did of a Narnia scene submitted to Disney for final approval to make limited edition giclees to be titled 'The Temptation of Edmund.' Disney rejected it because they thought it was 'too scary.' I was stunned! Scary?! Isn't that the point of the scene? Eventually I relented and did another 'softer, less scary' painting. But this one is much more relevant to this important moment in C.S. Lewis' classic tale. It is one of my favorites." |
