"What intrigued me most about this scene was, of course, the aspen. It was a wonderful day in the mountains of Colorado, and the aspen trees were at their best. I came across a lovely little wood; here I have tried to capture its charm and its view: the snowy mountains of the Sawatch Range and the smoke rising from the chimneys in the valley below. To experience the turning of the aspen - Colorado gold - is a true visual treasure." |
