The mountains and valleys of Central California are filled with many oak trees, including the beautiful Coast Live Oak. Peter enjoyed exploring this area, which was close to his home, especially in spring when the rolling hills turn a rich green. It is a fleeting time as the summer's heat soon turned the hills to brown. But, for just a few weeks, these landscapes are the most beautiful in all of the state.
