John Milton’s epic poem, Paradise Lost was written over three hundred years ago. It is the story of the angel Lucifer’s rebellion in Heaven; his eventual defeat and expulsion to Hell. Bent on revenge on God, the fallen angel presents himself disguised as a serpent in the Garden of Eden. He convinces Eve to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. God then casts out Adam and Eve from the garden, dooming mankind for eternity.
