Peter Ellenshaw fell in love with the sea as a young boy when his family would go to the seashore for holidays. His enthusiasm for the ocean only grew when he moved to California to work at Disney Studios. He explored beaches all along the coast spending many weekends in the (then) sleepy town of Laguna Beach, just south of his home in Los Angeles.
